About · Smriti
Built by rasikas, for rasikas.
Smriti is a free journal for rasikas. Here’s who made it, and why.
Our mission
Why it exists
Margazhi goes by fast. Over a few weeks, rasikas hear dozens of concerts, and only a few stay with us in any detail. We wanted a place where rasikas could write them down, keep track of their season, and read and learn from others’ notes.
We also wanted rasikas to be able to visualise their season, a bit like how Strava lets runners see their progress. As you log, you build a kolam that grows more intricate with each concert. You can share your kolam on Instagram, and maybe a friend who’s never been to a kutcheri gets curious enough to come along.
Preserve
Keep a record of every kutcheri you go to.
Engage
Read and write Rasika Notes.
Visualize
See your season grow, one concert at a time.
The people behind Smriti

Krithi Raghavan
Founder · Design
A Carnatic music student and rasika. She started Smriti to journal the concerts she goes to, and leads its design and direction. Currently she studies at the University of Chicago. If she had to play a niche Olympic sport, she’d skip it and go to a concert or nice brunch, instead.

Aparajita Subramanyam
Developer
Aparajita is a web developer in Bangalore, and the one who built Smriti’s backend. She’d pick snowboarding as her niche Olympic sport. Fun fact: she and Krithi met at a design event in Bangalore and connected for this project through a whatsapp GC.

Jacinta Bell
Designer
Bangalore-based designer behind Smriti, with a background in interaction design. She’d play lacrosse, given the choice and is the biggest Harry Styles fan you’ll find. Fun fact: she and Krithi met in the 7th grade. Working with people you are friends with doesn't have to be a bad idea? Ask her yourself, at:
